Antareja Mahada Makmur Delivers Aid to Earthquake Victims in Pasaman, West Sumatra

Pasaman – PT. Antareja Mahada Makmur (AMM) once again shows its readiness to help areas affected by disaster. This time the subsidiary of PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) joined forces with the ESDM Siaga Bencana team to help earthquake victims in Pasaman and West Pasaman Regencies (26/02/2022).

The AMM team responded quickly and with thorough preparation, getting directly involved in the disaster-affected area. The team moved from Pekanbaru Airport to the main earthquake post at the West Pasaman Regent's office to coordinate on the urgent needs at the disaster site — among them, AMM together with ESDM Siaga Bencana set up a disaster post with logistics and staple food supplies in Jorong Timbo Abu, Kajai.

The disaster post set up after the Pasaman earthquake was used to provide health services to the elderly and trauma healing therapy for children. Snacks and toys were also handed out to speed up the recovery of the children affected.

Beyond that, the AMM ERT team also provided clean water, electricity via generators and fuel to help with lighting, and other logistical aid such as carpenter's tools at the shelter post.

"Kondisi bencana alam seperti ini harus segera ditangani, karena itulah tim ERT kami langsung turun kelapangan Bersama dengan tim ERT ESDM untuk membantu masyarakat terdampak" said Joko Triraharjo, AMM President Director.

The ESDM Sigap Bencana team responded positively to the presence of the AMM ERT team, whose presence made the evacuation and recovery process easier for communities affected by the earthquake.

"Terima kasih dan penghargaan yang sangat luar biasa kepada tim ERT PPA dan AMM yang telah ikut serta dalam tanggap darurat gempa di Pasaman Barat. Kami sangat terbantu sekali dengan adanya tim ERT AMM yang telah bekerja sukarela tanpa pamrih memberikan pelayanan kesehatan, membantu mendistribusikan logistik, mengembalikan keceriaan anak-anak dengan trauma healing, dan menyuplai berbagai macam bantuan kemanusiaan untuk korban gempa di pengungsian." said Ahmad Fauzan Hamdi, Representative of the KAIT (Head of Mine Inspectors) West Sumatra.

The activity shows the consistency and practical expression of AMM's principal concern for Safety and Rescue, which aligns with the company's core values of helping one another and making a real contribution to the wider community.
