PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) Jobsite PT Borneo Indobara won the TOP CSR Awards 2026 Site Level Star 4 and the TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2026 award, given to Site BIB Operations Manager Agung Budiarto. PPA Site Adaro also received TOP CSR Awards Site Level Star 4, with TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2026 going to PPA Site Adaro Operations Manager Wahyu Binuko.
The awards were presented at the TOP CSR Awards 2026, held by TopBusiness magazine and MSI Group on Wednesday (13/05), recognising CSR programmes judged to have delivered real impact for communities while supporting the company's business sustainability.
PPA Jobsite Borneo Indobara runs a range of flagship programmes built on the concept of Creating Shared Value, while PPA Site Adaro works to a "Moving Up" concept, both supporting community development in the villages around the mine.
In the economic and community empowerment field, PPA Site BIB recruited 2,321 local workers and its education programme has graduated 127 participants from its heavy equipment operator student programme.
BIB's CSR programme drives the growth of local MSMEs through the Mangkalapi Bakery programme, which lifted community business turnover from Rp87.9 million to Rp319 million over the past two years.
The programme empowering the Mustika Village enterprise as a raw material supplier for catering at PPA's site has also shown significant growth year on year. It forms part of a local supply chain integration strategy to meet the needs of more than 7,000 employees at the PPA Site BIB mess, while strengthening the village community's role in supporting the company's operations sustainably.
PPA's commitment is also expressed through local recruitment, developing sewing centres and community livestock farming, and providing MSME stalls in the company site's foodcourt area. On the environment, PPA works with the community and the Tanah Bumbu Regency Environment Office on the "Tukar Sampah Anorganik Terpilah dengan Sembako" programme, raising awareness of waste management while delivering economic benefit to the community.
In education and health, PPA actively supports stunting prevention through education on complementary feeding and the provision of supplementary food, along with support for educational facilities and a practitioner-teaching programme at educational institutions around its operating areas.
"Program CSR yang kami jalankan mengusung konsep Creating Shared Value, yaitu menciptakan nilai bersama antara perusahaan dan masyarakat. Program ini kami rancang dengan mengintegrasikan kepentingan ekonomi perusahaan dengan kesejahteraan sosial masyarakat, sehingga manfaatnya tidak hanya dirasakan perusahaan tetapi juga masyarakat secara berkelanjutan," explained Noor Akhmad.
PPA CSR Department Head Noor Akhmad explained that CSR at PPA is designed to create shared value between company and community.
PPA Adaro, meanwhile, presented the UMKM Perkasa programme: Strengthening the Local Economy through MSME Empowerment, involving 16 selected mentored MSMEs. Perkasa is an acronym of Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Rakyat Menuju Keluarga Sejahtera.
Through the programme, PPA Adaro's CSR addresses the needs of local MSMEs judged not yet fluent in financial management, business planning or marketing strategy. So it is not only about scaling up the business but also transforming managerial capacity, product quality and reach into more competitive markets**.** The impact is starting to show with the emergence of small shops selling home-made products, a sign of village communities beginning to grow economically.
Turnover across those sixteen MSMEs rose from Rp65.1 million to Rp181.5 million, an increase of 116.37%.
With the TOP CSR Awards 2026, PPA affirms its commitment to keep growing together with communities and to deliver sustainable programmes with real impact on the environment, society and the continuity of the company's business.
