PPA Again Wins Zero Accident and HIV/AIDS Prevention Awards

Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) has once again posted a proud achievement, winning two awards at once from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government.

This time, through PPA Site BIB, PPA took home two occupational health and safety (OHS) awards: the Zero Accident Award and a Platinum award for its HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control (P2) Programme. The awards were presented at the 2025 South Kalimantan Provincial OHS Awards ceremony held at the Novotel Banjarbaru Hotel on Thursday (09/10).

They were handed over on behalf of the Governor of South Kalimantan by Adi Santoso, Expert Staff for Governance, Law and Politics, and Irfan Sayuti, Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Manpower and Transmigration Office, to PPA SHE Department Head Berthoni Gantino.

The awards recognise PPA's success in running occupational safety (OHS) programmes that have delivered 30,883,094 work hours without a workplace accident. PPA Site BIB has also demonstrated its OHS commitment by consistently running the workplace HIV-AIDS Prevention and Control programme across its operational area from 1 September 2023 to 31 December 2024.

"Kami ucapkan selamat kepada PPA yang meraih penghargaan sekalian dengan kategori Platinum, semoga PPA dapat tetap mempertahankannya," said Adi Santoso.

PPA SHE Department Head Berthoni Gantino said the two awards from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government are concrete proof of PPA's commitment to a working culture that places employee safety and health first.

"Alhamdulillah bisa mendapatkan penghargaan bergengsi ini. Prestasi ini berhasil diraih tidak lepas dari upaya, kerja keras dan kerja sama seluruh karyawan juga dukungan dari manajemen perusahaan," said Bertho in Banjarbaru (09/10/2025).

The result further underlines PPA's commitment to putting OHS values into practice through its programmes in every operational area.

PPA's Consistency in Applying OHS for Safe & Strong Operations

This award from the South Kalimantan Provincial Government is not PPA's first. Various PPA operational sites have previously posted similar achievements in workplace safety and the HIV/AIDS prevention programme.

In 2024, PPA Site MLP received a similar award from the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government at the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month assembly. The award was a Zero Accident Award for 7,500,000 work hours without an accident from January 2021 to December 2023. PPA Site Adaro, meanwhile, has also received similar awards from the Ministry of Manpower and the South Kalimantan Provincial Government: a Zero Accident Award for 1,240,450 work hours without an accident, a Gold category award for the HIV-AIDS Prevention and Control (P2) Programme, and a Gold category award for Covid-19 Prevention and Control for the 2022 period. On top of that, PPA Site BIB previously received a Zero Accident award from the Governor of South Kalimantan for reaching 9.1513.087 work hours without a workplace accident over the 2018–2019 period, along with a Platinum award for the Workplace HIV & AIDS Prevention Programme (see the post here: https://www.instagram.com/p/B9QF7RFp1Yp/?img_index=4)

This run of awards is concrete proof of PPA's consistency in upholding occupational health and safety standards across all of its operational areas.
