PPA ERT Takes 2nd Overall Winner at the 8th Adaro Fire & Rescue Challenge

The PPA ERT won the title of 2nd Overall Winner 2024 at the 8th Adaro Fire & Rescue Challenge (AFRC) on 26–28 February 2024

The title came after the PPA ERT took 1st place in the Road Accident Rescue Challenge, 2nd place in the Fire Fighter Competency Test, 3rd place in the Fire Fighter Combat Challenge and The Best Team Captain, out of the 4 challenges contested: Fire Fighter Combat Challenge, Road Accident Rescue Challenge, Structural Fire Fighting Challenge and Fire Fighter Competency Test.

The PPA ERT members competing this time were taking part in an event like AFRC for the first time. They are new members of the PPA ERT, selected from PPA Site Adaro employees who volunteered and then received a month of training.

Despite a training period that was relatively short, PPA ERT captain Putro Prasetyo said the result had met the target hoped for.

"Hasil yang didapatkan sudah mencapai target yang kami harapkan. Perform dari Team sudah cukup baik dan mendapatkan respon positif dari berbagai pihak. Semangat serta kedisiplinan Team adalah kunci utama atas keberhasilan yang didapatkan," said Putro Prasetyo.

AFRC is an event for learning and building relationships among the ERTs of PT Adaro's partners, in the hope that those ERTs can work together on disaster preparedness and humanitarian missions.

Besides the PPA ERT, the event was joined by the ERTs of PT Adaro Indonesia, PT Sapta Indra Sejati, PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama, PT Balangan Coal, PT Wasco, PT MSW and PT DKP, with a total of 84 team members taking part.

"Saya sangat mengapresiasi keberhasilan Team di ajang 8th AFRC 2024, terlebih anggotanya first time mengikuti Ajang AFRC di tahun ini, sebagai pendatang baru, itu adalah awalan yang positif bagi ERT PPA Site Adaro Wara," said PPA Site Adaro Operations Manager Handy Sastradi.
