PPA ERT Takes the 3rd Overall Winner Title at the 1st SFRC 2024

TANJUNG ENIM - PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) became Overall Winner 3 at the 1st Sumatera Fire & Rescue Challenge (SFRC), hosted by PT Bukit Asam Tbk, South Sumatra on 18–23 February 2024.

The PPA ERT's 3rd Overall Winner title came after it took 2nd place in the Firefighter Competency Test, 2nd place in Road Accident Rescue, and 3rd place in the Firefighter Combat Challenge.

The win was announced at the Closing Ceremony of the 1st SFRC 2024, held on 22 February 2024 and attended by the Director of Mineral & Coal Engineering & Environment / Head of Mine Instructors at KESDM Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi, PPA President Director Christianto Setyo, PPA Operations Director Joko Triraharjo, and Pertapindo.

"Fire & Rescue challenge ini kami harapkan menjadi suatu event regional yang kemudian dapat menjadi budaya kita bersama kemudian secara bergilir tuan rumah diselenggarakan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan tambang yang siap dan memang memiliki concern terhadap bagaimana kita memberikan penguatan kepada para tim ert, selain membangun jiwa sportifitas juga memberikan pelatihan agar mereka selalu siap siaga menghadapi kegawatdaruratan," said Sunindyo as he formally closed the event.

This first regional Sumatra ERT competition was brought about through cooperation with the Indonesian Mining and Energy Emergency Response Association (PERTAPINDO) for the Sumatra Region, with 5 challenges contested: Firefighter Competency Test, Structural Fire Fighting Challenge, Road Accident Rescue Challenge, Water Rescue Challenge and Firefighter Combat Challenge.

It was joined by 15 teams from mining and energy companies across Sumatra, among them: PT Bukit Asam Tbk (Team A), PT Bukit Asam Tbk (Team B), PT Putra Perkasa Abadi site PTBA, PT Agincourt Resources, PT Kalimantan Prima Persada site PELH (Lahat), PT Pamapersada Nusantara site PTBA, PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk, PT Semen Padang, PT Satria Bahana Sarana, PT Timah Tbk, PT Mifa Bersaudara, PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk (Sinarmas Mining Group), PT Cipta Kridatama - Sumatra Area (KIM & DMP Project), PT Mustika Indah Permai, and PT United Tractors.

Besides the presentation of trophies, the event also saw the handover of the SFRC flag from PTBA to Agin Resources, symbolising the host of the 2nd SFRC 2024.

"Tim kali ini sebagian besar merupakan wajah baru di ajang ini. Mereka disiapkan sebagai regenerasi, dan butuh pengalaman dalam bertanding. Meski tim baru Alhamdulillah, tim ERT PPA bisa meraih juara umum 3 di ajang SFRC ini," said Joko Triraharjo.
