PPA Wins Gold at WISCA 2026 and Affirms an Unlimited Commitment to Safety Culture

The award is given to companies judged to have built and applied a safety culture thoroughly and sustainably. Assessment is based on the level of safety culture maturity, which has five levels: Pathological (1), Reactive (2), Calculative (3), Proactive (4) and Generative (5). Reaching Level 4 shows that the safety culture at PPA has arrived at the proactive stage, where occupational health and safety is an important part of every operational activity and of the company's decision-making.

"Semakin tinggi tingkatan kematangan budaya yang dicapai, semakin bagus tingkat penerapan K3 di perusahaan. Kasus kecelakaan kerja dan penyakit akibat kerja juga menjadi sangat rendah," said Soehatman Ramli, Chairman of WSO Indonesia.

Beyond that, PPA President Director Joko Triraharjo also received the Concerned CEO Top Leadership award for his leadership in shaping and driving the implementation of safety culture across every part of the company.

At the same event, Joko Triraharjo appeared as a speaker in the CEO Talk session. On the theme "Safety is Unlimited Budget", he said PPA places occupational safety as the company's top priority — not merely as a regulation to be complied with, an awareness every employee must hold, or a culture embedded in every operational and business activity, but also backed by optimal investment in occupational health and safety.

"Bagi kami, keselamatan adalah investasi jangka panjang. Tidak ada batas untuk upaya melindungi pekerja, menjaga operasional tetap aman, dan memastikan setiap insan PPA dapat kembali ke keluarga dalam keadaan selamat," said Joko Triraharjo in the CEO Talk session at WISCA 2026.

Joko Triraharjo also expressed his appreciation to WSO Indonesia for the award given to PPA. In his view, the award encourages the company to keep improving the implementation of safety culture across all of its operating areas.

"Kami mengapresiasi WSO Indonesia atas penghargaan ini. Bagi PPA, penghargaan ini bukan hanya sebuah pencapaian, tetapi juga motivasi bagi kami untuk terus memperkuat budaya K3 dan menghadirkan operasional yang semakin aman, unggul, dan berkelanjutan," he added.

The achievement is also a motivation for PPA to keep raising occupational safety standards and strengthening safety culture across every line of the company's business.
