PT Putra Perkasa Abadi Becomes the First in Indonesia's Mining Sector to Apply the Telkomsel Private Network

Jakarta, 31 January 2023 — PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) becomes the first in Indonesia to apply private network services through its collaboration with Telkomsel, forming part of the acceleration of smart mining solutions towards safer, more connected and more integrated operations for Indonesian industry.

The collaboration was signed by PPA HCGA & Legal Director R. Teguh Saptosubroto and Telkomsel Sales Director Adiwinahyu B. Sigit in a memorandum of understanding at the Telkomsel Enterprise Solution Day 2023 in Jakarta (31/1). With this, PPA has become part of the digital transformation of Indonesia's mining industry through the use of leading digital solutions, in line with Telkomsel's commitment as a digital ecosystem enabler.

"PPA melakukan inisiatif ini dalam rangka menjadi bagian dari akselerasi transformasi digital di sektor industri pertambangan menuju revolusi industri Indonesia 4.0, hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan produksi secara maksimal, selain itu juga akan meningkatkan safety dalam operasional PPA" explained Teguh Saptosubroto, PPA Director.

In this collaboration, PPA applies smart mining from Telkomsel Enterprise covering the use of a private network, the construction of BTS towers to ensure private network coverage across all PPA operating areas, infrastructure as a service (IAAS), and fuel monitoring over connectivity with a high level of reliability and security.

The collaboration also allows PPA to have low network latency, under 50 milliseconds, to support ease of automation across every mining and operational activity and real-time monitoring — including the implementation of the IoT Intelligent Tank Monitoring System (INTANK) for fuel monitoring on each of its fleets, anytime and anywhere, enabling faster decision-making for a better experience across every company activity and more efficient cost management.
