Rising Star, PPA Takes 2 Awards at the Energy & Mining Editor Society Awards 2022

PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) took two awards at the Energy & Mining Editor Society (E2S) Awards 2022. The first went to PPA President Director Christianto Setyo, named The Best CEO Mining Services. The other went to PPA Corporate Communications Manager Adri Thanada in the category The Best PR Manager Mining Services, at an event held at Bimasena Club, The Dharmawangsa, Jakarta, on Tuesday (13/12/2022).

The E2S Awards 2022, held for the second time, is an awards event given by the forum of energy sector editors and journalists to mining and energy businesses and professionals judged to hold a high commitment to implementing and taking responsibility across various aspects of work, including Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE), in their operations. Selection and judging run through a number of indicators, among them monitoring of company coverage over a year, expert verification, confirmation with company stakeholders, media assessment and direct assessment during media visits.

"Kami memonitor pemberitaan tentang PPA selama 2022, ternyata banyak prestasi yang PPA raih, kami juga melakukan konfirmasi dari stakeholder, dimana mereka mengapresiasi dengan tinggi kinerja PPA. Kami juga lihat tim rescue-nya juara nasional. Jadi kita kaji, ternyata pertumbuhan PPA luar biasa. Para juri saat diskusi sepakat mengatakan PPA sangat layak mendapat penghargaan," said Lili Hermawan, Head Judge of the E2S Awards 2022.

Echoing that, Dudi Rahman, Chairman of E2S, regards PPA as a rising star of the mining world. "PPA saat ini di peringkat ketiga perusahaan jasa kontraktor tambang dengan produksi overburden removal hingga bulan November sebesar 245 juta BCM. Nah ini mengalahkan sejumlah perusahaan tambang yang lebih dulu eksis dan ternyata banyak penghargaan yang diraih PPA, contohnya penghargaan Good Mining Practices dari Kementerian ESDM, lalu Indonesia Fire & Rescue Challenge dimana PPA mengalahkan Pertamina yang termasuk bagus di bidang HSSE. Kemudian dari sisi manajemen berbeda dengan perusahaan jasa tambang lain yang rigid dalam proses bisnis, ini menarik. Belum lagi PPA Akademi, yang menjadi pertimbangan PPA mendapatkan dua kategori yakni The Best CEO dan The Best PR Manager Mining Services Company," Dudi explained after the event.

This year the E2S Awards 2022 was held at Bimasena, The Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta, on the theme CEO's New Vision: Business Reforms to Shape The Energy Transition. The awards programme opened with an ESDM Sector Outlook 2023 session featuring PT PLN Generation Management Director Adi Lumakso, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Subholding Upstream Exploration Director Muharram Jaya Panguriseng, Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara President Director Rachmat Makkasau and PT Bukit Asam Tbk Vice President for Downstream Development Setiadi Wicaksono as panellists. *
