Supporting High Mobility, PPA Brings In the Latest Airbus Helicopter, the First ACH135 Helionix in Indonesia

PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA), as a leading mining contractor in Indonesia, has strengthened its operational support fleet with the latest Airbus ACH135 helicopter in VIP configuration - Airbus Corporate Helicopters (ACH135). The helicopter, which will support mobility and monitoring across its lines of work, was handed over directly by Airbus to PPA President Director Christianto Setyo and Mahada Pte Ltd President Director Muhammad Affan at the Airbus Helicopters Center, Donauwörth, Germany, on Friday (28/4/2023).
PPA has also ordered the Airbus ACH145 — a larger helicopter able to carry two crew and up to nine passengers in comfort — to increase its fleet's capability.

"PPA tahun ini akan menuju 13 kontrak project di seluruh Indonesia, dengan banyaknya project, dibutuhkan alat transportasi untuk mendukung mobilitas secara cepat dan handal dalam pemantauan, koordinasi maupun pengambilan keputusan langsung dilapangan. Saat ini kami juga sudah memesan tipe helikopter lain yang lebih besar dengan tipe ACH145 yang saat ini sudah berada dalam tahapan lini akhir dari rangkaian proses produksi" said Mahada President Director Muhammad Affan at the handover.
Besides attending the handover from Airbus to PPA, PPA President Director Christianto Setyo and his party also had the chance to see the helicopter production process at the Airbus Helicopters factory first-hand, and to make a benchmarking visit to the German Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) specialist ADAC, to help optimise the fleet's use in its occupational safety role.
Beyond seeing Airbus's manufacturing sophistication for themselves, the PPA party — joined by Whitesky Director Ari Nurwanda and Whitesky VP Technic Kuncoro — took part in a test flight to try the Airbus ACH135's performance and comfort directly as part of the helicopter acceptance procedure.

PPA's ACH135 unit will be the first of the H135 type in Indonesia with Airbus Helionix cockpit technology, which greatly reduces pilot workload and ensures the highest level of safety. With capacity for 1–2 pilots and up to 6 passengers, and two turboshaft engines, the helicopter can cruise at 252 km/h and fly for 3 hours 36 minutes with a maximum range of 633 km on a single flight
"Insya Allah pasca proses pre delivery inspection dan pengirimannya ke Indonesia, estimasi bulan Juli kami akan mulai mengoperasikan heli Airbus ACH135 ini," concluded Muhammad Affan.
